Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a wedding comes with lots of questions — and that’s completely normal. Below are some of the most common questions couples ask. If you don’t see your question here, please email us mcsarahlin@gmail.com. Alternatively, we are always happy to chat.

Many couples book their Sydney wedding celebrant and MC 6-12 months in advance, especially for popular dates and peak wedding seasons.

If your wedding is coming up sooner, feel free to reach out — we may still have availability, and we are always happy to help if I can.

We offer wedding ceremonies and MC services in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Many couples choose:

  • English-only ceremonies
  • Bilingual ceremonies (English + Chinese)
  • Trilingual ceremonies for cross-cultural families.

For receptions and tea ceremonies, we can also host bilingually or trilingually, ensuring everyone feels included and comfortable.

Most wedding ceremonies run for 20–30 minutes.

This includes:

  • Your personalised love story
  • Vows
  • Ring exchange
  • Any cultural or symbolic elements

We’ll help tailor the ceremony length to suit your venue, timeline and personal style — whether you prefer something short and sweet or a little more detailed.

Yes! We are based in Sydney, and are happy to travel anywhere in Australia and overseas for weddings.

A tea ceremony is a deeply meaningful moment — but it can also feel overwhelming, especially if you’re unsure about traditions, order of elders, or how everything should flow.

As your Tea Ceremony Host, I support you before, during and after the ceremony to make sure everything runs smoothly. Including but not limited to:

  • Explain tea ceremony traditions and plan the order of family members
  • Guide helpers and prepare everyone before the ceremony
  • Host and guide the tea ceremony step by step (English, Cantonese or Mandarin)
  • Cue key moments such as tea pouring, blessings and gift giving
  • Coordinate a smooth wrap-up and transition to the next part of the day

Even when families are familiar with tea ceremonies, having a host helps:

  • Avoid miscommunication between both sides of the family
  • Reduce pressure on parents or elders
  • Keep the ceremony flowing smoothly and on time
  • Ensure photographers and videographers capture the right moments

It allows your family to fully enjoy the moment, rather than manage it..

Our pricing depends on:
